Nat sulph

Another of the Natrum tissue salts. Nat sulph has an effect on fluid retention like Nat mur as well as supporting the liver through bile production. This salt may help reduce toxic build up due to a sluggish liver. It may help get over a case of food poisoning. Headaches that result from liver dysfunction may be helped with this remedy. With this underlying dysfunction there may be symptoms of bloating, nausea and vomiting. The tissue salt taken regularly may help to regulate bile production, of course in conjunction with dietary changes.

A keynote of this remedy is when ailments are aggravated by a change in weather from dry to wet. Symptoms are decidedly worse in damp weather. This may be is the respiratory system having an effect on asthma or in the joints. Rheumatism worse in cold, damp weather.

In children with asthma and weak digestion, that seem worse when the weather changes to wet. They may wake up with an asthma attack at 4 or 5 am.

Rheumatism, especially the left hip, that gets worse in damp weather is an indication for this remedy.

Like Nat mur, this remedy may be helpful for someone experiencing deep grief. In Natrum sulphuricum the person may even have secret thoughts of suicide as a result of the grief. However, they don’t carry this out as they are worried about the people that will be left behind.
